Outlaw:  John "Fireball" Urist runs an 8.55 @ 161 on the first full pass!!!  This was with only 20 psi boost and they've seen as much as 30 psi (1,648 hp) on the dyno!! Look out!!  See pix and video below.

Outlaw:  Looks like Fireball Urist has fireballed his power glide (hey, it WAS originally designed by GM after all) and is out for the race.  Too bad.!!

Race Pictures

John2.jpg (31736 bytes)John "Fireball" Urist:  John has moved from "the bottle" to boost with this incredible turbo setup.  Video is below.

John1.jpg (22795 bytes)In the pits with "Fireball" et al.  John and family (not shown) have done a fantastic job of preparing this car in a short period of time.  If you get a chance, check out all the custom fabrication/welding that has gone into this car... by John himself!

TFranklin.jpg (19821 bytes)Travis Franklin:  Travis is running a stroked 351 Windsor with a big bottle.  He ran 8.50's all day long with no back-fires or other signs of mortality.  This deserves recognition!!!

SteveBarton.jpg (28549 bytes)Steve Barton:  Steve has made the move from a Street Stock setup to a Street Bandit setup for this year.  He is still running the same 347 motor from last year with upgrades (higher compression, changed intake/carb).  With the upgrade motor he's running consistent 10.30's.  The new 400+ cube motor should be ready soon.

Potter.jpg (29435 bytes)www.potterracing.com.  Nice car, nice web-site.  He's based out of West-Columbia, SC.  We're both (Mike and Mike) from SC.
