The supercharger should work with the Mustang (V6 engine). As far as engine changes – We can’t really answer that. The V6 engine from the mustang may be different from that of the T-Bird. The compression ratio for the T-bird was 8.2:1 (www.sccoa.com). As far as reliability – again we have no idea… Vortech makes an 8-10 psi kit for the ’98 3.8 L Mustang indicating that the motor probably would be OK with that amount of boost as is.
