What is the year range of Mustangs that have the same dimensions for the rearend? I heard up to the year 1993 all the measurements and mounts for the rearend are the same for either 4 cylinder and 8 cylinder cars.

I have a 86 LX 4 cylinder Mustang that I am completely converting to a V-8, I have an 8.8" 1991 GT mustang rearend that I would like to put into the car.

Should this be a problem? Any precautions or reccomendations?
