It sounds like your car is mostly stock. I would suggest doing a gear swap and installing underdrive pulleys. Both together will give a 3-4 tenth drop in ET. A ram-air setup (March) would also help. Optimization of fuel and timing may give you another tenth or so. After that I would suggest a head and intake change (GT-40P and a Cobra - for a cost effective solution). You need to run in the 13.8 range to catch the Firebird. See the 1993 LX 5.0 feature car.
