My son has a 1983 mustang that I put a rebuilt 1981 5.0 into, it was a 3.8 car that was given to me. The car has a c-4 out of a 1979 LTD (of all things)and has underdrive pulleys, electric fan, torker intake, 600cfm holley with 50 cc pump and an old Crane fireball cam that I had lying around from years ago. The car has off road H-pipe and dyno max cat back system 1991 8.8 rear end with 3:73 gears. I don't know the specs on the cam but would like to know if 1.7 roller rockers would work and help at all. The car w/o a convertor or shift kit has run 13.88 at 98.9 on street tires. All the fluids are synthetics and the transmission shifts real well from 1st to 2nd but a little slow from 2nd to 3rd which I'm told is fairly common for a C-4. Thanks
